CONSCIOUS
GARDENING
covers all the
natural, physical aspects of organic gardening, like
mulching, the living soil, composting, natural
fertilizers, lawns, organic sprays, growing vegetables,
fruit and berries according to climate, paramagnetic
energy, hens for eggs and tons more, all very
detailed . . . to the metaphysical aspects of gardening
. . . like the spirit of the land, nature spirits,
garden energy, unseen connections and attuning with
Nature. It even addresses the gardener . . . on
being conscious, attitude, the love connection, cause
and effect, wholeness, and on and on. This is a very
complete and very different holistic gardening book.
It is hugely informative, a fun read and perfect for the
gardener who wishes for a deeper insight into the spirit
of the garden. |

Excerpt:
Every fertile seed holds
the potential of newness. No plant grown from seed grows into an
exact duplicate of its prototype, any more than a child grows as
a duplicate of its parents. As parents, we are inclined to point
and push our children in the direction of our beliefs and
conditioning - even if it has not worked for us; even if it has
led us to depression and sickness.
This is
not natural in Nature. In Nature, if a direction is not capable
of the full potential of a life form, it closes it down. We
fight to deal capably with life, while so often it is our
actions causing the problems.
Back to
the garden. If we sow seeds in a bed of soil we have the seeds
we want to grow, along with the seeds of many plants that favour
the same conditions. We call them weeds. When our seeds come up
they are going to be competing with a lot of other, very capable
plants. So we hoe out the weeds to make growth more favourable
for the plants we want.
The
weeds in our lives are the negative thoughts that overcrowd the
positive ones. We need to cultivate positive thoughts, for they
create strong productive growth in us. In the garden we remove
the weeds, but in our life we seem to let them grow unchecked.
Only after the weeds are removed does the gardener fertilise the
garden, yet we fertilise our negative thoughts daily by watching
negative news on television, or reading a negative newspaper.
Amazingly, positive news newspapers all go bankrupt, while the
worst of the most negative news newspapers are the biggest
selling. This says something about us!
The
reality is that our hospitals and medical systems are choked up
with the sickest life forms on the planet - us. We cultivate so
much that is against Nature, and offer so little that is
supportive of Nature. The garden shows us so clearly that we are
the Nature that we oppose. The garden can teach us how to
reverse this if only we are able to become conscious enough to
be with and be aware of the lessons from a living garden.
Just as nature is the teacher of life to all of nature, so
Nature is also our greatest teacher.
